The story of incidte
An incident management solution by
Vectrums mission is making the crucial and simultaneously stressful process of incident management a little bit easier, one feature at a time.
Incident management is one of the key processes for companies with critical infrastructures – no matter if it’s a tech company or the city administration. Choosing your incident management tool means putting a lot of trust into the reliability and proactive support of the software. With Incidite, we want to create a safe haven for sensitive infrastructures and strong teams.
Why did we create incidite?
After working in the industry for over a decade, you notice a lot of gaps in existing solutions. While there are very powerful and popular tools, there are also limitations to every single software on the market. Nobody’s perfect after all. The idea of Incidite was born out of frustration after testing countless incident management tools – none of which seemed to deliver just the thing we were looking for in a tool that we trust to aid in critical situations.
We often felt like incident management is a
puzzle , where we had to look for important pieces all over the place to place them together, instead of having the whole picture from the beginning. Long story short - we were missing an
all-in-one solution without the need for countless integrations.
- Marius Ziemke, CEO -
Most importantly, we were missing the proactive communication with different groups of people like stakeholders, engineers, customer support and many more. There were possibilities to reach a certain group, but they were not intuitive and hardly promoting exchange between departments in critical situations.
We were also failed to find a possibility to assign clear responsibilities and tasks in the application itself, so that everyone was up to date by simply looking at the incident overview. We felt like this made the conversation very difficult and was costing us a lot of time and resources. People often didn’t know what was going or weren’t sure about what has been checked off the to-do list and what had to be done still.
Incidite is the product of all these missing puzzle pieces. We put a lot of effort into building a software that could help companies like ours navigate critical events with proactive communication, clear responsibilities and reliable tools – all without having to switch platforms.
Our mascots and how they came to be
The friendly robots are our way of promoting a calm and friendly environment in our tool. You can’t deny that looking at them doesn’t at least make you a little happier!
However, it did take us quite some time and a few tries to make them perfect (objectively, of course). Here are some of the first designs we tried out:

With so many to choose from, we were still missing something. That was until we met these guys:

The left ones spoke to us the most, so we decided to go with them from now on. That’s the story of the mascots you know and love!
What do we like about working at Vectrum?
Vectrum is a young company – being founded in 2021 – with still so much room to grow and opportunities to be taken. A lot of estalished, older companies don’t allow for a lot of change and creativity, with rigid processes and strict guidelines. While these are very important and helpful in some cases, they can feel a bit restrictive and trying to bring new ideas to the table can end in big disappointments. Working at Vectrum and developing Incidite further with each day is an truly a refreshing experience for people just starting out in the industry, but also for experienced engineers.
Getting to have an exchange at
eye level with everyone in the company - makes everyone feel appreciated - from assistant to CEO.
